The Art Of Being Seen

Light Setup #1

Torrential rain on the way home tonight, and the charge on the 15W NiteFlux VisionStick didn't last the entire journey. A car pulling out of a driveway on Addison Road saw my remaining blinkie light a little later than I might have liked.

So I decided a refit of the Allegro's "dashboard" was in order, to give myself as many backup lighting options as I could.

Can you see me now?

Oh yeah, I can see you now! But now I just don't want you to pop around a corner in front of me on a dark bike trail - that would blast my night vision in an instant … and probably burn a hole in my retina!

Nice lighting rig - what have you got there?

Cheers, Treadly & Me (http://treadly.thingoid.com/).

It's a VisionStick 20, with the 15W on my left and the 5W on my right; below that, a smaller white blinkie light I got from Cheeky Monkey.

The problem with the VisionStick is that it's great while it lasts, but when it runs out of juice, it doesn't give you much warning.
